We are looking for a dedicated Business Analyst to join our team working on projects for the aviation and related industries, operating within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). You will be a key link connecting the specific business needs of the aviation sector with technical capabilities, working closely with the Product Owner, development team, and other roles within the SAFe structure. Your work will involve precisely defining requirements, facilitating communication within the Program Increment (PI), designing and implementing test processes, and ensuring the quality of delivered solutions through active participation in the QA lifecycle.
We are looking for people located in Silesia or Tricity.
Responsibilities:
- Close collaboration and support for the Product Owner in defining and prioritizing the product/team backlog in the context of aviation projects.
- Operating within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), actively participating in ceremonies (e.g., PI Planning, System Demo, sync meetings) and contributing to relevant artifacts.
- Creating and documenting User Stories and precise Acceptance Criteria (AC) within the Digital.ai Agility tool.
- Gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional and non-functional requirements from business stakeholders within the aviation sector.
- Translating business needs into specific, understandable guidelines for the development team.
- Actively supporting communication and information flow between the Product Owner, project/development team, and other stakeholders within the SAFe framework.
- Analyzing proposed technical solutions for compliance with business requirements and client needs.
- Creating and maintaining analytical and project documentation.
- Actively participating in the Quality Assurance (QA) process, including designing, implementing, planning, and overseeing the test strategy and processes for the project.
- Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functional testing, and regression testing to verify software compliance with requirements.
- Identifying and reporting defects and collaborating with the development team to resolve them, ensuring adherence to the defect management process.
Tech stack:
- Digital.ai Agility: For backlog management, SAFe planning, progress tracking, and defect management.
- Confluence: For creating and maintaining project and analytical documentation.
- GitLab: As a code repository and CI/CD tool (contextually, for understanding development processes).
- Gherkin Language: For writing executable specifications (acceptance criteria, test scenarios) using the Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) approach.
- Behave Framework: As a BDD support tool (contextually, for understanding the automated testing process).
- Figma: For reviewing, analyzing, and commenting on mockups and user interface (UI/UX) designs.
- Python: (Contextually) Basic understanding can be helpful in the context of automation scripts or data analysis.
- Selenium: (Contextually) For understanding or interacting with web UI test automation.
- General Testing Tools & Techniques: Understanding of the defect lifecycle, test types, test strategy, and test process design.
Must have requirements:
- Location: Silesia or Tricity
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Test Engineer, Systems Analyst, or in a similar role.
- Practical knowledge and proven experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) within the SAFe context.
- Proven ability to create User Stories and define Acceptance Criteria.
- Experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Experience in conducting various types of software testing (acceptance, functional, regression) and in defining and improving test processes.
- Solid understanding of software quality assurance (QA) methodologies and best practices.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem identification, and effective solution proposal skills.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration within a SAFe environment.
- Very good work organization, proactiveness, and independence.
- Ability to travel and visit our office in Katowice
Nice to have:
- Experience or knowledge regarding projects for the aviation, aerospace, transportation, or related industries.
- SAFe certifications (e.g., SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, SAFe Agilist).
- Familiarity with documentation and collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence).
- English language proficiency enabling smooth communication and work with technical documentation (often crucial in the aviation industry).
- Higher education degree (preferably in technical, IT, or related fields).
- Experience with or understanding of test automation using Python, Behave, and Selenium.
