Test Engineer

We are looking for Test Engineer to join Sopra Steria Polska for a team that works for a client in the aerospace sector. You will work in an industrial, stable environment in multinational team for a major aeronautical manufacturer. The program involves wide portfolio of applications developed by multiple teams in modern technologies that support pilots, crew, and airline in planning flights or various airport operations. 

Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who are located in Poland and have EU citizenship.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases (manual and automated)
  • Testing new functionalities and performing regression testing of existing modules
  • Ensure quality of delivered software solutions in collaboration with developers and analysts
  • Participate in SAFe ceremonies
  • Report and track defects, ensuring timely resolution
  • Support knowledge transfer and integration with other squads in ART
  • Gather and interpret business requirements, translate them into IT/system specification
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices

Tech Stack on the project:

  • CI/CD tools (e.g. TeamCity, Octopus, GitLab)
  • Agility / Confluence for agile project management
  • Cloud-based environments (Azure)
  • .NET application with various interfaces (Web, mobile, WPF)
  • MS SQL Server

Must have requirements:

  • Experience in software testing (manual + automation)
  • Knowledge of test design techniques and defect management
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum)
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot issues in test environments
  • Ability to distinguish between business, functional, and non-functional requirements
  • Experience in multi-IT environments (apps, portals, back-office systems, hardware communication, third-party integrations)

Nice to have requirements:

  • Certifications ISTQB or similar

The recruitment process in our company consist of two stages:

  • a short phone call with a recruiter (30 min max)
  • one-hour long interview on Teams (with both general and technical questions)
